Death in Salmon Creek

This afternoon, Monday, September 6th, a visitor to the Robert Gribi home in Salmon Creek plunged off the Three Falls trail on a borrowed quad and was killed.  The Sacramento area man was riding alone and wasn’t found for some time.

Several Sheriffs and the coroners were at the scene for many hours as were members of the local volunteer fire department.

Chili and Lisa, our thoughts are with you.

Devastated. I hate Labor Day. It was 12 years ago today that Ryver was snake bit. Any and all future Labor Days may be spent inside the house.

Captain Kirk was one of the best men we knew. His family and ours were planning many years of fun together. Ryver and Little Kirk were only days apart in age, Little Kirk spent many weeks at our house, loving the access to 3 falls. I can’t believe one of the great men was so instantly taken from us. And we’re just the beginning, at home, he takes care of not only his wife and kids, but his sisters, and all of his friends. As much as we are mourning, there is a whole community in Sacramento who are more than devastated. Our hearts are heavy, we are holding each other tight

We are deeply grieved for the loss, and gripped by the sudden awareness of just how close to death or serious injury we all spend most of our time… usually taking health and life for granted. We are praying for loving friends and family to comfort and support everyone touched by this tragedy. mark
