It looks like a Clintonia to me but it’s the wrong color to be ‘andrewsiana’ our most common local species — also known as bluebead for the seed head in summer.

Pernel,

Thank you. I should have gotten a better picture of the leaf structure but I think you are right. Ours are a very pale pink. Almost white. The ones on line are almost hot pink but colors do vary even from one area to the next on some other wildflowers so maybe the clintonia andrewsiana do the same.

My guess would be Capitate Valerian, valeriana capitata.
Pretty!

I did some further checking and I think the actual variety is valeriana californica. Here is a photo that looks a lot like what I saw.
