With a 23 -15 vote, the California Senate urged the federal government to end marijuana raids and “create a comprehensive federal medical marijuana policy that ensures safe and legal access to any patient that would benefit from it.”
The Senate has also called upon the Federal government to
"end federal raids, intimidation, and interference with state medical marijuana law...[and] to encourage advanced clinical research trials into the therapeutic use of marijuana, which meet accepted scientific standards..."
Furthermore, the senate asks that federal policy be established that allows patients that follow state law to use that as a defense against federal laws.
This is the first time that a state government has “officially called for a change in federal medical cannabis policies.” You go, California!

Argentina just declared no prison incarceration for personal use.
A rather wonderful reader pointed out that “Mexico decriminalized small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and heroin on Friday.“
