A Cautionary Tale for Salmon Creek

This is a cautionary reminder for myself and everyone else driving locally to watch this corner.
The narrow Salmon Creek road twists tightly through the hills. The hairpin turns of Grunt Hill (by the Carlsons’) coil like a slinky and seem ready to shake off the unlucky driver. On the 8th of July, this truck swerved to avoid oncoming traffic and dove over the edge. Luckily no one was injured badly. Several accidents have happened here or near here in the last few years. Two vehicles can pass on this narrow corner but they both have to be hugging their side and moving a bit slower than normal.

I hate it when that happens! Seriously though, I’m glad no one was hurt. It’s definitely a road with a lot of challenges.
I once lost an entire pallet of particle board when I failed to use a low enough gear going up and had to shift down. Luckily no one was behind me. Not too smart.

Those corners are scary. Luckily no one was hurt.
