Was this picture taken today? Sounds like Ren had fun, and I hope everyone else who went did, too.
Sure loved seeing everybody and having a good chance to have a decent conversation with so many!

Ok, you have whetted my appetite. can you tell me where it is. I would love to surprise my girlfriend for her b-day. Don’t worry, I won’t spread the location around, promise!

You know the line, “I could tell you but then I’d have to kill you”–in this case, I could tell you but then the Three Fall neighbors would kill me!”

I could tell, but then somebody would kill ME. Some things are just better off left a secret. The newcomers would just rename it anyway.

Hey the newcomers already did. The people who lived here 150 years ago called it the Shimmering Shining Place, I believe!

Kym… I’m working on transcribing Briceland Charlie’s story of how Coyote made Three Falls. It’s difficult as he tells the story in the Wailaki language and his recorder, Pliny Earl Goddard, only translates the words he doesn’t know. I do know that the story involves Grizzly and that Coyote moves rocks to make the falls. He then creates the fish and has made a wonderful fishing place. In the story it is called “Coyote’s Falls”, Tcin dut tcin no le. Charlie told the story in 1907, one hundred years ago. He was born at a viilage near the old Manhart Ranch house on the hill opposite you. Once I’m done with this I’ll send it to you at your email. I’m thrilled to have found it.
