That would make a great card or poster.

I love it! Back in my college days, there used to be a huge corn farm near campus. The farmer was surprising patient and allowed us to run amuck through the corn playing a game of college student “hide and go seek.” There were so many fat bumblebees tucked amongst the ear of corn, all sound asleep. It was such a neat experience.

I had no ideas bees slept in flowers. I thought they returned to the hive. Very special photo, Kym!

Most of our bees in Oz are European bees. Thais, hive bees. Our native bees are solitary yet still create honeycombs to store their food. I wonder where they sleep. Kym, you have raised questions in my mind and I have to go look for answers. Not in books but in the trees.

Just the place I’d want to be on a rainy morning, curled up in a sunny flower. Happy Spring.

Can’t add much of anything to what has already been said. What were the chances that you would discover this scene? Some of the greatest photos are those we get by being in the right place at the right time – some things you just can’t plan. Very cool Kym!

Skill as a photographer means you can take advantage of the gifts nature lays before you everyday. I want classes and teachers so I can get better and not waste the treasures I find!

I hope that little bee didn’t freeze last night. This morning within about a 1 mile stretch, I viewed a rainbow, and experienced pouring rain, snow, sleet, and hail!
