With the California budget passing, the California Conservation Corps lives for at least another year.  This wonderful program that provides a stepping stone for many young people will continue to provide the state with much needed services including fire suppression, trail building, litter cleanup, weed eradication but most importantly it will provide young men and women with a place to learn life skills and teach them to be of service to their community.

Thanks to all of you who helped by writing letters, sending faxes and signing petitions. And thanks to Sophie who just thanked me.
