I think that the robins are funny to watch when they get drunk on berries. I’m not sure if the berries are toxic or they are fremented, but the robins fly around, squawk, and crash into things. But it sure looks like they are having fun.
I love how you appreciate your world, and in return, it never stops giving you photo ops!
I love this photo. For some reason (hmm, could it be all the red?) it makes me think of all the cardinals back in Texas. It’s a shame we don’t have them out here. There is nothing more beautiful, especially in winter.
Too funny! My mother is a nurse and I was telling her about your
blog. She thought she might have given you some shots when you
were a child. She has been pestering me to ask you. After about
3 times I said okay. I just love your blog. It’s so light hearted and
positive unlike some of the others. We won’t mention any names!
Maybe some day we can meet. My grandfather was Rae Wright.
It seems like I had heard him speak of your family name. It does
my heart good to be able to see the ranch through your eyes. I’m
glad that someone appreciates it as much as I did. Thanks Kym

Now there is a Christmas card picture for you. Very nice.
We’ve had robins chattering here every day. Pyrocantha, Madrone and Toyon berries seem to make them happy. Imagine how many must be in the whole area.
I always envy your amazing photos. Thanks for your efforts.
The photo wasn’t as crisp as I would like but the Robin with the berry was too sweet not to pass on.
Catching the robin with the berry in its mouth makes for a great shot!

Ernie, I’ve heard that the berries ferment. Drunk birds! Thanks for sharing this, Kym.
Love the image. Our robins are long gone – must mean winter is here. Lucky you. 😉
That is a stunning photo, Kym.

We don’t get very cold here and mostly, we have Robins year round. I love them but someday I would love to see a Cardinal in real life.
Want to see a Card, Kym? Come visit your cousin in summer some time! 😉
Chicago in the summer? Uhhh….Hmmm….well..
This is off the topic and I didn’t see how to email you directly. But
have you ever been bitten by a fox?
Holy schmoly, no! Why? Have you?
