Probably it is just me but whenever I see a kid with an expression like that I just want to pop the kid on the head with a popsickle.
The poor little guy has had a hard couple of weeks. No wonder he’s not smiling.
And Max, give the child the popsicle–somehow I think the smile might come a little more quickly then.
