Flowering Currant

The snow vanished from the ridges around our house. For an hour or so, we lived inside a Margarita–all the rims salty white and the air like the liquor, intoxicating and half frozen.

I bought the flowering currant at our native plant show in Manilla. However, we have quite a few delicately blooming around the Salmon Creek watershed.
