We have lots of sparkly bright prizes, stuffed animals, books and enough chocolate candy to keep a whole school wound on sugar for a week. We also have lots of cute kids who will follow you around and tell you how beautiful you are. Come up.

Wow, that is a good Easter. I could wear a hat and everything for that.

Of course the kids might not think I was so lovely after I wrassled them to the ground and made off with their nifty baskets but still….

Thank you for the invite I will think on it and see how things here are looking.

I put aside candy just for the adults. You’ll have plenty of sweets!

Nope, they were both in Salmon Cr. School when I taught but this girl is a couple years older than Alice.

I think about Alice often. She was a cutie and snuggled a place right into my heart. Of course, all my kids did.

She was funny. Very serious and bright and utterly charming in her grownup behavior.

I’m getting all mushy thinking of her. They moved to Oregon or Washington and I lost touch. Alice must be 14 now.

One day in school, she wrote my middle son a note on pink paper. She couldn’t have been 7 yet. It said, “About your blue eyes, I love them.” I still have the note tucked away.

Ah, what a cute note!

Now, are you inviting the blogosphere to your Easter egg hunt, Kym?

Absolutely, If anyone wants to come, we live about 30 minutes from Miranda;> But, just post a note telling me you want to come. I’ll send directions to the email address you use when you make a comment. (also some pointers like avoiding bringing your Porshe, etc Our roads aren’t made for every car;>)

The Easter egg hunt is always a joy to watch. Kym starts the little ones first, on a hillside with lots of goodies in plain view, and then the older ones get to go, extending their search farther afield, into the forks of trees, etc.
I remember when my granddaughter was about the age of the little girl in the photo, she had a great time at the hunt and an even better time with the trading that occurs afterwards. (The bigger boys are always really big on this.) Tay traded and traded, and in the end had managed to secure more than a half dozen toothbrushes!

I remember her with a huge stuffed animal too. I’ll have to remember to get toothbrushes again this year. At least the parents are happy then;>
