Seriously. I saw Greg and Carol’s post with photos of snow in Loleta, turned around to look out my window in Arcata and we were being blanketed with big fluffy dumplings of snow flakes. Nothing really stuck, but the boyfriend did throw a slush ball at me, gathered from the railing on our balcony.
Much as the novelty is good, I hope it warms up again before I have to drive anywhere.

I really like this photograph – it feels somehow ambiguous, like the camera wasn’t sure what it was supposed to focus on, like the viewer was just viewing without framing.

It may have been raining in Salmon Creek when the photo was posted but it is snowing at our Salmon Creek house right now – 4:55 p.m.

Oscarandre…thanks for liking the photograph. I haven’t quite figured out my camera settings, and basically just pointed and shot. You are right, the camera wasn’t sure, and neither was I! As of now (almost 5 p.m.) Blue Lake has well over an inch of snow and when I look out the window I feel as though I have been transported back to Utah in the winter. The snow is falling very heavily!

We’ve had snow here since about 4. Has anyone heard if its gone as far south as Garberville yet?
